Dr. Sarah Kaufman
Dr. Sarah Kaufman grew up in a military family, and has lived in the Midwest, the East Coast, and the Rocky Mountains. But she and her family happily call Lawrence their forever home!
Dr. Kaufman received her undergraduate degree in geology from the College of William and Mary, then completed both her Masters of Business Administration and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees concurrently at Colorado State University in 2008. She has a special interest in dentistry and oral surgery, but also enjoys internal medicine. In 2022, she earned specialty board certification in Canine and Feline Practice from The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Dr. Kaufman rejoined the Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital team as the medical director in January 2023, after spending four years as a Clinical Assistant Professor of small animal dentistry at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She previously worked as an associate veterinarian at Clinton Parkway from 2017-2019.
Dr. Kaufman loves giant breed dogs and currently shares her home with a Great Dane. She and her husband Quentin also have three active kids, and can frequently be found attending choir performances, baseball games, and piano recitals.
