Dr. Rena Heimsoth

Dr. Rena grew up in Sedalia, Missouri with her twin sister never knowing she wanted to become a veterinarian. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in 2015 which is where she fell in love with veterinary medicine. She then pursued her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University and graduated in 2019. She was thrilled to join the CPAH family shortly after and has been here ever since.

Her interest in medicine came from her mother and sister who are both in the human medical field, but she knew that she wanted to go a different route. Her passion for helping those that cannot speak for themselves led Dr. Rena into the path of veterinary medicine. She loves that she gets to help strengthen the bond between humans and animals by taking on all of the challenges that comes with it. This is how she found her passion in soft tissue surgery.

When Dr. Rena is not in the clinic she enjoys hiking, baking up new recipes, and spending time with her cat Barbara (Barb) who always keeps her on her toes. She still considers herself a kid at heart loving to travel and always trying to make it back to her favorite place- Disney! She cannot wait to continue her journey with CPAH and forge lasting relationships with all those she meets.
