Dr. Jennifer Kissinger

Dr. Kissinger is a Kansas native and has lived in Lawrence for most of her life. Her path to veterinary medicine was not traditional but illustrates her dedication to the value of family and caring for others in her community. She ran a private childcare facility for 9 years before deciding to continue her education and ultimately pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She received her degree in cellular biology with honors from the University of Kansas in 2011, going on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.

In her free time, Dr. Kissinger enjoys time with her family, including her husband Tim, her son Ben and daughter-in-law Shannon, her three dogs (Josie, Wrecker, and Annabelle), and her three cats (Porch Cat, Lou Lou, and Bold). She is a lover of all animals, including our smaller furry friends – guinea pigs are her favorite! She is also an avid gardener.
